The challenge was to produce an A5 piece for a travelling book for Eileen at Embroiderers’ Guild. Eileen’s theme is ‘travel’ and so far other stitchers have produced little marvels for her. My applique picture here is a homage to Jill Walker whose paintings of Barbados are familiar to all those who visit. Jill is unwittingly teaching me to paint since I started to slavishly copy pictures from her excellent book, ‘Jill Walker’s Barbados’. Thank you, Jill.
